SETTING: Athens, during the Classical Age of Greece
A Love Quadrangle brews between Greek youth: Hermia, Lysander, Demetrius, and Helena. Hermia’s father appeals to the Duke of Athens and the Queen of the Amazons, to step in to force his daughter’s hand.
Meanwhile, in Fairy Land, Oberon and Titania (King and Queen of the fairies) are locked in a dispute of their own.
As if that weren’t enough, a group of bumbling craftsmen are preparing a play for the Duke’s upcoming wedding.
Stir in a love potion, a spell for a donkey’s head, and a mischievous fairy servant who can’t tell one Athenian from another, and you’ve got all the ingredients for one of Shakespeare’s most famous comedies!
